About WCO

Founded in the summer of 2014, the Washington Chamber Orchestra was created by a group of musicians united by a shared goal: to bring high-quality classical music to diverse communities while keeping concerts accessible and affordable.

WCO musicians are active performers, educators, soloists, chamber musicians, and orchestral players who bring a high level of artistry and commitment to every performance. Since its inaugural season, the orchestra has performed throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia, reaching audiences of different ages, backgrounds, and communities.

As an ambassador for classical music, WCO remains committed to presenting meaningful performances that are both artistically excellent and welcoming to all.
